BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Lee Wei Li was a MIT-SUTD postdoctoral fellow (2014-2016) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Engineering Product Development pillar, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He received his Ph.D. degree (Biomaterials for Drug Delivery) from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2012 and obtained his B. Eng. (Materials Engineering), First Class Honours, under Accelerated Bachelor’s Programme from the NTU in 2008.
Before joining SUTD and MIT, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, NTU (2012-2014). He was a project leader for particle fabrication and drug carrier formulations (2008-2014). In between, he has mentored 2 PhD students, 2 masters students, 18 undergraduate Final Year Project students and 3 internship students. He has been granted 5 international patents to his name and has published 23 peer-reviewed journal papers, including 18 first-authored papers in Small (2 papers), Journal of Controlled Release (1 paper), Acta Biomaterialia (3 papers), Advanced Healthcare Materials (1 paper), etc. He also presented his works at several prestigious international conferences held in Asia, Europe and the USA, and won several awards including fellowship and best presentation.
